About the Author: Kathleen Elizabeth Salimena graduated from Georgetown University and completed her master's degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She is multilingual, has published in the Spanish !HOLA!, the British OK! Magazine, and the Italian GIOIA, and has had photos syndicated internationally. She enjoyed designing Katiana's wardrobe as well as the book. And--she wishes you a Bo Voyage!
About the Illustrator: Simona Bucan completed her master's degree at the Art University in Bucharest, Romania. At age 18, she won an International Poster Contest and considers herself lucky to have had art fellowships in both England and Spain. The Romanian Post has used her stamp designs. Her illustrations were honored with an "Award for Excellence" at the acclaimed Bologna Illustrators Exhibition. Simona Bucan's detailed illustrations are classic beauties.
